Hailing from New York, ‘Changes’ moved out to LA a year ago to pursue her artistic career. Her work takes a look into the brutal honesty of nature and “broken” women. Her vulnerability and haunting pieces give a glimpse into the artist’s imperfect self. We caught up with Changes as she prepares for her solo event tonight. The event will be held at Stay Gallery and will feature all new works themed around the title “Gold, Guns, and Girls,” followed by a special performance by Changes.

Ghostlight Orchestra is spooky, magnetic and curious. Fronted by former Audiovent singer Jason Boyd, the Venice Beach-based band is already eliciting much buzz for its refreshing throwback sound: part gypsy dance party, part lost at sea, they’re no doubt something magical. We caught up with Boyd to talk the difficulty of choosing a band name, ghost captains and big plans for 2013.
